Two Make-Ahead Snack Dips

Snack dip, anyone?
A “crudité” is a $5 word for raw vegetables served as hors d’oeuvres. An “hors d’oeuvre” is a $10 word for an “appetizer,” usually served with dipping sauce. These three quick vegetable dips are also great with snack crackers. For your convenience, make them a day ahead of when you need them. They’re among my favorites! Served with raw veggies, they’re also a smart nutritional choice.

Creamy Crudité Dip:

1 tbsp. minced fresh or dried chives
½ tsp. dill weed
1 tsp. garlic salt
½ tsp. paprika
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. sour cream

Combine well, chilling at least 1 hr. to blend flavors before serving. Yields 2 cups.

Fabulous Veggie Dip:

One 1-oz. (28 g) dehydrated vegetable soup mix
2 c. dairy sour cream

Combine well, chilling at least 2 hr. to blend flavors before serving. Yields 2 c.
