Warm and Chunky Crab Spread

Another football favorite from our house to yours!

Warm and Chunky Crab Spread:

One 8-oz. (250 g) pkg cream cheese,
softened
¼ c. mayonnaise
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ tsp. freshly ground pepper
½ c. dry white wine (see Note)
2 green onions, finely chopped
¼ c. grated Parmesan cheese, divided
8-oz. (227 g) artificial crab, flaked style
1 tbsp. fresh parsley, finely chopped

Preheat oven to 425 deg. F. Beat cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, and pepper until smooth. Gradually stir in wine, green onions, half of Parmesan cheese, and half the crab. Spread evenly into 8-in. pie plate or similar-sized baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining crab and Parmesan. Bake, uncovered, 15-to-20 min. or until bubbling and slightly browned. Cool slightly; sprinkle with parsley. Spoon over crackers. Makes about 3 c. This spread can be made up to 24 hr. ahead; cover and refrigerate before baking.

Note: In place of wine, use ½ c. quartered, marinated artichokes, increasing mayonnaise to ¾ c.
