Basic Homemade Mustard

This DIY is easy as pie! Except that it’s mustard ...

Basic Homemade Mustard:

2 tbsp. (30 mL) powdered mustard

1 tbsp. (15 mL) all-purpose flour

⅓ c. (80 mL) cold water

1 tsp. (5 mL) granulated sugar

Salt, as desired

Combine mustard and flour, gradually adding water to make a smooth paste. Cook over medium heat, stirring until smooth and thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar. Season to taste.
