Mocha Coffee Frappe

You could pay $5 for this frappe in a coffee shop - but why would you?

Mocha Coffee Frappe:
5 c. (1.1 L) brewed iced coffee
⅔ c. (80 mL) chocolate syrup
1 qt. (1 L) coffee ice cream, slightly softened
Whipped cream topping and nutmeg or cinnamon garnish (optional)
Blenderize all ingredients until smooth. Spritz on whipped cream, if desired. Serves 4 or 5 in glass coffee mugs or tall glasses.

Note: The word frappe” is used chiefly in New England, and is pronounced as it looks. Elsewhere, the more common spelling is “frappĂ© - pronounced frap-pay. Good to know, the next time you order one in the northeast United States.
