Easy Cheesy Beans

I came up with this recipe a few years ago. When I made it for Ron last night, he cried: “Encore!” - a French culinary term for “Fill my plate again!” Gourmet chefs will be shocked - shocked, I say!) that this recipe uses Cheez Whiz, but those of you seeking something quick and easy for your Thanksgiving table will appreciate this tasty microwave recipe.
Easy Cheesy Beans:
6 slices chopped bacon (or substitute my Special Croutons, posted  March 4, 2012)
4 c. fresh or frozen green beans
½ c. processed cheese spread such as Cheez Whiz
1-½ tsp. Dijon-style mustard
½ tsp. dried dill seeds
Salt and pepper, to taste
Cook bacon on two thicknesses paper towel in glass dish in microwave oven about 3 min., or until crisp. Blot dry, crumble, and set aside. Preheat oven to 350 deg. F. Cook beans in a covered dish with 2 tbsp. lightly salted water just until tender-crisp (If cooking beans in advance, chill in ice-water bath to halt the cooking process). Combine Cheez Whiz, mustard, and dill seed in microwave-safe measuring cup. Microwave on medium power about 1 min., just until warm. Toss gently with beans, transferring to small, lightly greased casserole. Season to taste. Top with crumbled bacon. Bake, uncovered, 12-to-15 min., just until heated through. Serves 6.
